Mac Motorcycles

The Spud from British Mac Motorcycles.  Powered by the Buell single cylinder air cooled 492cc 5 speed engine.  I love the simplicity of the single cylinder design.

1972 Triumph T100R Daytona Restoration

I finally finished my two year restoration project on my 1972 Triumph T100R Daytona.

The Paint turned out better than expected and so far it rides pretty good.  The clutch and gears are pretty choppy and the back brake needs some adjustments, but otherwise, I'm very happy with the restoration.  Still working on fine tuning the carburetors and trying to sync the dual carbs.

Triumph T100 Fenders

The front and rear fenders with metallic silver and blue with gold trim. Yes, I understand that this is not the standard paint scheme or color for a 1972 T100 but I never did like the original paint.

Triumph T100 Tank and Fenders

After months and months of trying to decide how to paint the tank and fenders I finally slapped some silver and blue metallic paint on with some gold trim. Then a quick 3 coats of SprayMax 2K clearcoat. I was surprised by the final results.

1972 Yamaha XS2

I saw an ad on the board at work for a 1972 Yamaha XS650 for $XXXXX. I thought it would be a pile of junk but decided to give them a call anyway. The guy said that he bought the bike new back in 1972 and quit riding back in 2000. It has been sitting in his garage and hasn't been started since 2000. He claimed it would probably be a good parts bike. I almost didn't go look. When I showed up and he took the cover off I about fell on the floor. The bike was in excellent condition for a 37 year old bike. Here's the bike after being degreased and cleaned up.

1968 Honda CB450 Super Sport

The 1968 Honda CB450 Super Sport has got to be one of the best looking bikes out there. I would love to get my hands on one of these.

The '68 thru '71 Honda CB350 Super Sport is also a very nice bike.

T100R Update

Still working on restoring my 1972 T100R. Here are a few images of my progress so far. The bike was completely stripped down to the frame. All rust was removed and the frame was painted. Since the engine was running before the restore, it was only cleaned up and the cylinder head was painted. New exhaust pipes were order and installed as well as many other parts. Once the tank and fenders get a decent paint job, this bike will be ready to hit the road.
